Ploughshares Fund President Joseph Cirincione
Ploughshares Fund President Joseph Cirincione

By Doug Fabrizio

Salt Lake City, Utah – There are 23,000 nuclear weapons in the world and enough material to create some 120,000 more. Barack Obama has pledged to pursue "a world without nuclear weapons," and Joseph Cirincione says that key negotiations and treaties this year will show whether Obama can deliver. Cirincione is head of the non-proliferation organization Ploughshares Fund, and he's in Utah this week. He'll join Doug in studio to talk about current efforts to reduce nuclear threats and about the future of nuclear weapons.
