Salt Lake City, Utah – While women throughout the world have struggled for equality and basic rights, it's been especially difficult in the Middle East, where women's empowerment is often cast as Western cultural imperialism or, worse, anti-Islamic. A new book explores how Muslim women and men are supporting women's rights through economic, political and educational opportunities. On Friday, guest host Jennifer Napier-Pearce talks with the scholar Isobel Coleman about the growing movement of Islamic feminism.
