Salt Lake City, Utah – Thursday, as the US House considers the Obama-GOP compromise on the tax-cut extensions, we're talking about Americans and taxes. The historian Joseph Thorndike says even though we teach our kids about the Boston Tea Party and we vote for candidates who promise to cut taxes, Americans really don't hate taxes. He says it's tax loopholes that really makes us mad. Thorndike joins us for a look at taxes in American history - what we've been willing to pay and what we expect in return.
