About this event
A team of reporters from three news organizations spent the last year digging into the untold stories of Utah's massive teen treatment industry. Some 20,000 teenagers facing depression, delinquency and other problems have come to Utah from every state in the country over the last six years. Sent Away investigates how the government failed to keep all those kids safe through the voices and stories of the teens who lived it.
The evening is a behind-the-stories look at what it took to bring this critical story to light. Hosted by KUER’s news director, Elaine Clark, the panel will feature KUER’s David Fuchs, Jessica Miller from The Salt Lake Tribune and Curtis Gilbert of APM Reports.
