Salt Lake City – Utah lawmakers overwhelmingly approved legislation yesterday to create a 4th Congressional seat -- meeting a deadline to get the map into the hands of Congress during the last week of its session. It's part of a political deal that would give the residents of the District of Columbia its first ever voting member of Congress. Thought it's doubtful Congress will take up the package in its final week, lawmakers here say they accomplished what they set out to do -- create 4 new Congressional districts for Utah.
