Salt Lake City, UT – Famous for its geysers, fumaroles and hot pots, Yellowstone is home to some of Earth's most powerful geophysical forces. While the geologic features are millions of years in the making, the region is very much alive as a recent spate of earthquakes shows. KUER's Jennifer Napier-Pearce spoke with University of Utah geologist Robert B. Smith about the phenomenon.
Robert B. Smith is a research professor of geology and geophysics at the University of Utah. He's presenting a free public lecture on the Yellowstone Supervolcano Wednesday night in the Skaggs Biology Building Auditorium at the University of Utah. For more information, you can call (801) 581-6958.
