Salt Lake City, UT – For the past several years, KUER has aired an occasional series dedicated to one of the things that radio does best-- playing sounds. This spring and summer, Western Soundscapes is back. For the next 16 weeks, radio producer and recording engineer Jeff Rice travels around the state and region, recording sounds of some of the West's most intriguing animals and natural environments. In his first installment for the series, he has this audio postcard from the Mojave Desert region of Utah.
