A Border Patrol takeover of local leadership could bring more aggressive tactics to the region, like what federal agents have done in Los Angeles and Chicago, said a Nevada immigration law professor.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has purchased the Kirtland Temple in Kirtland, Ohio, along with other buildings central to its history in Nauvoo, Illinois. The sites were bought from the Community of Christ, an early offshoot of the American faith.

U.S. sheep ranchers are struggling but domestic lamb consumption is up. As it stands now, the country imports more than 70% of the lamb it consumes.
