Republican incumbent Sean Reyes has been Utah’s attorney general since 2013, when he was appointed to the position by Gov. Gary Herbert. Democrat Greg Skordas, who ran unsuccessfully for state attorney general in 2004, is challenging Reyes for the position. Reyes said he’s seeking another term because he wants to finish what he’s started in office.
