FCC Rules

NPR's Emily Harris reports that the FCC has voted to allow large TV networks to own smaller ones. The first company to benefit is Viacom which, now that it owns both CBS and UPN, would have faced selling the smaller network. The restriction that the FCC lifted had been intended to encourage programming diversity.
