Salt Lake City, Utah – In 2008, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints joined a coalition to support California's ballot proposition to ban gay marriage. Church members responded with a grass-roots campaign and millions of dollars. For journalist and activist Reed Cowan, it epitomized Mormon attitudes towards the LGBT community and he calls what they did "spiritually criminal." Thursday, we're talking with Cowan about his new film. We'll also be joined by California attorney Morris Thurston for a look at the fall-out of the campaign on the LDS Church.
