Sen. Mitt Romney’s decision not to run for another Senate term has opened up one of the most highly coveted jobs in Utah politics — and saved others the trouble of trying to primary him.
While Utah’s junior Republican senator was in opposition, Sen. Mike Lee did not cast a vote. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said the fight isn’t over.
All in all, there are a lot more questions than there are answers right now. Especially about how Utah and the Great Salt Lake got into this situation.
