Salt Lake City, UT – Preventable diseases related to smoking and obesity hit the poorest Americans hardest . . . and they also have the toughest time with health issues in general. There are many reasons for this, but one of them is the difficulty of reaching people on the margins of society with information they need to help take care of themselves. That's the message Professor Vish Viswanath of the Harvard School of Public Health brought to the University of Utah this week. He was invited to give the B. Aubrey Fisher Memorial Lecture by the U of U Department of Communication.
