KUER is thrilled to announce that assistant news director Caroline Ballard has been named a Rising Star by Current, a non-profit news organization that covers public media in the United States.

KUER is pleased to share that its newsroom and flagship interview show “RadioWest” received numerous journalism awards so far this year.

The new bilingual radio station owned by the University of Utah has announced its program director. Edgar Zuniga will lead KUUB (formerly KCPW) beginning July 1. Sister stations PBS Utah and KUER, also licensed to the University, acquired the 88.3 frequency from Wasatch Public Media in October 2023.

KUER is pleased to announce it has been selected as a Report for America host newsroom partner and will add a dedicated Ogden-based reporter in the summer of 2024.

KUER and PBS Utah, with support from their license holder, the University of Utah, will acquire the 88.3 FM frequency license from KCPW’s owner, Wasatch Public Media.

The Great Salt Lake Collaborative, a coalition of 23 news and education partners covering challenges facing the Great Salt Lake, took home the top prize of $20,000 in the national “Local that Works” contest.
